Raise awareness and promote concentrated solar technologies to various audiences, e.g., general public and students
Bring more visibility to underrepresented genders in the concentrated solar sector, either in their own companies or in conferences.
We coordinate with conference organizers to:
- Include seminars and events to feature gender equity, diversity and inclusion topics, and to educate attendees about our organization and associated opportunities
- Organize networking and social events targeted at underrepresented genders at conferences
Organize special events, e.g., talks, training sessions and workshops to provide education/training and to promote underrepresented genders in the concentrated solar sector:
- “How to succeed as a woman in the concentrated solar sector” events, where successful women underrepresented genders share their stories, tips and experiences, open for a large audience to inform about challenges underrepresented genders face and show a different perspective
- Joint events with similar organizations, to promote underrepresented genders working in concentrated solar to their public
Provide role models and mentors for young professionals new to the concentrated solar community and help them grow in confidence and capability
Create a professional network to develop partnership and scientific collaboration between group members, with the possibility of launching new projects led by underrepresented genders
Promote career advancement opportunities to expand the concentrated solar workforce pipeline in a way that is accessible and beneficial to all groups, including minority and underserved communities
