Women+ in Concentrated Solar offers a mentorship program for women and other underrepresented genders in the concentrated solar sector. Our goal is to help our mentees (of underrepresented gender identities) build confidence, grow as professionals and reach their full potential.
What is a mentor?
A Mentor is a trusted guide with relevant experience. They are there to share their “lessons learned,” offer a fresh perspective on your career, and help you navigate challenges by sharing their own story and network.
Key Role: Advisor or guide
Mentors of all gender identities are welcome to join the program.
What is a mentee?
A Mentee is a proactive learner looking to grow. They are in the “driver’s seat” of the relationship — meaning they set the goals, ask the questions, and take action on the advice they receive.
Key Role: Goal-setter and active learner.
Only mentees of underrepresented gender identities will be accepted. Underrepresented genders include cis women, trans women, trans men, non binary people, and people who may be questioning their gender.
2026 campaign
Phase 1 – Mentors & mentees registration
Mentors and mentees can register until March 31. Just click the link below to answer the questionnaire.
You can be a mentor, a mentee, or both.
Reminder: Mentors can be of all gender identities. Only mentees of underrepresented gender identities will be accepted.
Mentors and mentees are expected to meet virtually once a month for 4 months. Higher frequency can be decided at the discretion of paired mentors and mentees.
Phase 2 – Mentor/mentee pairing and meetings
You will be matched according to your respective areas of expertise and professional needs and expectations. Once matched, mentees will be in charge of contacting their mentor to set up meetings.
Connections will be made by mid-April, so that meetings can start in April.
To get a better idea on our mentorship program, you can watch the first kickoff meeting organized on December 21, 2023, below or on our YouTube channel.
You can also discuss and ask questions on our forum dedicated to the mentorship program (reserved for subscribed users).
